I have always been told integrity is doing the right think even if no one is watching. This article explains that integrity is built up of these 6 characteristics: honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage. To me, academic integrity means to do your best, no taking short cuts, no cheating, no excuses, no matter what, whether someone is watching or not. Work the same on your own as you would if your instructor/ boss/ parent is hovering over your shoulder.
